DelVJ is a software for realtime video 3d composition and algorithmic remixing that uses gtk, python, glade and puredata.
It can be controlled through OSC, and has web and gtk interfaces.

The programs code is now available at github. You can also use the ticket system there to report problems.
We also started using launchpad to provide better ubuntu support. delvj launchpad
Finally, some delvj generated videos online now available at vimep: vimeo.

Now we have a mailing list: Delvj mailing list to discuss all delvj and related software.
Also an irc channel was formed in irc.freenode.net: #delvj. You can join in to share your online time with us :)

Many new options and a much better gtk interface. Debian packages and tar.gz have been updated. Ubuntu users beware as currend debian packages are too new for hoary, new packages for that distro have been created and are looking for hosting.
Most important delvj is now multilanguage, with english, spanish and catalan supported. Many new translations will some day follow.

DelVj is a software for realtime 3d composition and algorithmic video composition in which the computer composes 3d forms as indicated by the user as a virtual extension of the users mind. It can be given indications for the objects, videos and effects, but the computer doesthe rest, or not, DelVj lets for uniquely human control as well as the cyborg link between the human and machine habilities to generate something none of them could have done by itself. It has a gtk interface that runs puredata on the background, controls xmms and allows tweaking of all patch parameters, recording videos and streaming to an icecast server.
Please note that most documentation is in spanish at the moment, as well as the interface. So dare by yourself. Some work is being done to also bring delvj to english audiences.
You can install it in debian and related distros by adding taking a look at the ubuntu repos at Descargas
